More Fruits of Solitude is a pithy commentary on daily life by the founder of Pennsylvania. Penn, a Quaker, was imprisoned several times because of his religious affiliation, and in 1682 he obtained a charter to establish a colony of religious toleration for the Friends in America. The colony became populated with religious refugees from Europe, but Penn returned to England where he remained until his death.
