This volume includes seven chapters that detail advances in business and management research. Chapter 1 examines how flexible working, enabled by digital technologies, impacts the social, professional, and well-being experiences of employees in the digital workplace. Chapter 2 offers reasons why the Army should augment its current analysis methods, such as the Army Design Methodology and Boyd’s OODA loop, with other methods, such as system thinking combined with sense-making frameworks such as Cynefin. Chapter 3 introduces "Mindful Trust Theory," a relational framework that reconceptualizes trust not as a static belief but as a dynamic, attention-mediated perspective that shapes team functioning in complex systems. Chapter 4 aims to demonstrate a structure of the intra- and inter- psychological variances influencing the policy decisions and practices. Chapter 5 provides insight into the measures that need to be taken in the implementation of the pact on the performance of the environment. Chapter 6 explores the role of behavioral finance in shaping advanced business management, with a special focus on mental accounting the cognitive process by which individuals and organizations categorize, evaluate, and manage money. Lastly, chapter 7 proposes the Complex Adaptive Systems (CAS) model as a suitable framework for organizations navigating the dynamic landscape of the 21st century.
