This book began with truths written in the margin of our Bibles over thirty years ago. And as you would guess, much of what was savored then is almost faded now. Wanting those beautiful truths to be available for our children, grandchildren, and generations in the years to come, meant we needed to do something. So, dear reader, here is our something! Now these truths are not just for those we love but for you and those you love as well. Hopefully, you will be encouraged with this work gleaned from God's Word and penned by Christian authors, some as far back as Seneca the Younger, born 4BC, and died 65AD. By the way, none of the truths in this book originated with either of us. We did our best to find the dates of all the authors so as to give credit to each one. However, for many, it was impossible. About the Front Cover Image: The Great Smoky Mountains National Park encompasses some of the oldest mountains on earth, and is located in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee. The boundary line bisects the park, measuring fifty-four miles long and nineteen miles across millions of acres. More than nine million visitors come to the park each year. There are thirty-six mountain peaks standing five thousand feet above sea level, sixteen of which exceed six thousand feet. The earliest settlers were the Cherokee Indians, who still revere the mountains as their ancestral home of the entire Cherokee Nation.
