Breaking Through: Chemistry

Students are formally introduced to Chemistry in high school. Thus, Breaking Through Chemistry takes off from their background knowledge and experiences. Each chapter begins with visuals that are both familiar to the students and encapsulate the concepts introduced and discussed throughout the chapter. the topics are sequenced differently to include those that will enrich content and enhance learning. Core materials are treated extensively to lead students to a deeper understanding of the basic concepts and principles involved, while the additional materials are for those who are interested to pursue any science or science-related disciplines in college. The teacher is at liberty to proceed with the discussion either according to the degree of difficulty of topics visa- vis the students’ interest or the general thrust of the school itself.
