Thank You, God

A young girl is up before the sun in a picturesque mountain town. It is early spring and the trees are beginning to flower and set out their first leaves. Everywhere she turns, she finds reasons to be grateful. The day itself, her home, family, school, and best friend are reasons for appreciation. When it starts to rain, she looks sadly out her schoolroom window. Will she be able to go out for recess? Remembering to be grateful raises her spirits. The shower passes and she spends the rest of the day with her best friend, enjoying and appreciating the people and places that constitute her world. Even her shy and quiet turtle is remembered.
