Best Place to Die

New England's lesbian senior sleuths return in "this winning second entry in a thriller series you simply must try" ( Library Journal).   Widows Lil Campbell and Ada Strauss are exploring their newfound romance when they are woken early by the sound of sirens. The local nursing home in their quaint Connecticut town is ablaze. Thankfully, the residents are safe and sound, including Ada's mother. Administrative director Delia Preston, who appears to have jumped from the roof, isn't so lucky. But when Delia's death is ruled a homicide, suspicion spreads like wildfire that it was arson.   Compelled to investigate, Lil and Ada discover Delia's ties to three of the wealthiest and most respected men in town—one of whom was just about to flee the country.
