Cody Goes To Camp tells the story of K.K. the only child whose mother died when she was young. Her father Wallace raised her as best he could be he often worried about her spending so much time alone. When K.K. sees other children playing with their dogs she finds herself wanting a puppy. Wallace has to work hard and doesn't really want a dog around the house but when K.K. pleads with him he decides to give in. K.K. names the dog Cody and takes good care of him. Cody however is a little scamp who likes to chew things up and make messes. When he chews up a photo album that is important to Wallace, he decides that Cody has to go. K.K. talks to her friend Mel who suggests she try to cure Cody's problem by sending him to doggy boot camp. It's a struggle at first but Cody gets the hang of it and learns how to be an obedient dog. He also learns that he has some hidden talents that will be coming to light in further adventures.
