Moral Leadership: The Theory and Practice of Power, Judgment and Policy

Featuring preeminent scholars from a variety of disciplines, this collection arose from companion conferences held at Stanford and Harvard entitled "Moral Leadership and the Right to Rule." Through a variety of different perspectives, this book provides an overview of the field of moral leadership, focusing on issues such as its definition and importance, the factors that influence its exercise, and strategies for promoting it. It addresses the dynamics of moral leadership, with particular emphasis on the obstacles that stand in its way: ethical judgement, self- interest, and power. Finally, this book explores moral leadership in its contexts: business and the professions, non- profit organizations, and the international arena.
