Program Management for Improved Business Results

The goal of the first edition of this title was to create a comprehensive book on the field of program management that was practical in nature and focused on the business value gained from the application of program management practices in various industries.  The book was well accepted and reviewed but content needs of the market have changed especially since the establishment of PMI's Program Management certification (the PgMP).  Main author Dragan Milosevic will not participate in this revision but a new author will be added to the team which is now; Martinelli, Waddell and Rahschulte - two industry professionals and an academic bring balanced coverage of this topic.  The plan is to broaden focus on industries beyond high technology and product development through new examples and case studies. At the same time they will create tighter alignment to and support of the Project Management Institutes Standard for Program Management.  The authors have created a group on Linked-in.com called the Program Management Academy which now boasts over 3,000 members.  This group will be critical to not only building the cases and other content in the book, but also in the ultimate marketing and success of the final product.
