Comprehensive Evidence Based Interventions for Children and Adolescents

This book is designed to provide all mental health professionals the information they need about the use of evidence-based interventions (EBIs), as well as the evaluation criteria used to determine their efficacy in in meeting the mental health needs of children. In addition to specific state-of-the-art treatments, this book covers relevant topics and controversies including chapters on the fundamental role of development in treatment planning and implementation, emerging methods of service delivery for improving access to mental health care (e.g., online treatments), dissemination of EBIs into community and school settings, and the use of controversial (e.g., potentially harmful) therapies with children. Each chapter will include sections covering: an overview of the disorder/problem; evidenced-based approaches; parental involvement in treatment; adaptations and modifications; e) measuring treatment effects; f) clinical case examples.
