Case Studies in Child, Adolescent, and Family Treatment

The book is divided into six sections, and each section contains a brief overview and thumbnail sketch of the section's cases.  The lively, action-based, and pragmatic presentation of the cases helps students accumulate experience in thinking and reasoning as applied to different aspects of clinical work, resulting in more effective clinical practice. The sections address major areas within the study of child, adolescent, and family practice--common disorders of childhood and adolescence, individual and family treatment, group treatment, school-based treatment, child welfare, and practice evaluation. Within each section, contributors write about a wide variety of populations, practice approaches, and contexts.
