A Life Well Lived This book chronicles Gwen's life from her humble beginnings in New Plymouth, New Zealand to setting up the first bed-and- breakfast in Whitianga, New Zealand and then to entering the world of Queens, Princes and Presidents along with many well-known celebrities of our time. From Hollywood, Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage and Las Vegas, the book offers insights into the lives of the rich and powerful of America. Gwen's adventure began after an American couple who enjoyed her bed and breakfast in Whitianga invited her on a road trip around North America. In a serendipitous turn of events, she started her career cooking for high ranking diplomats, the Annenbergs, on the sprawling 200-acre estate in Rancho Mirage, Palm Springs. They would regularly host President Reagan and the British Royal Family. Gwen was later hired by 20th Century Fox owners, Marvin and Barbara Davis, who would host lavish dinner parties. The book continues with chapters detailing the further intricacies of how the rich lived along with tales from Gwen's marriages, her childhood and her adventures with her sister with whom she goes on a cruise every year.
